Thai Techniques
with Jonathan Steinberg LMT

This course includes an introduction to Thai Massage principles, such as history, lineage, Sen Theory, and Sen Sequencing principals, all of which offer a foundation for the practice and application of Thai Massage techniques. Thai massage compressions, wedges, stretches, jostles, and Sen Sequencing will be demonstrated and rehearsed in order for therapists to develop their own 60 to 90 minute Thai Massage floor treatment or for integrating Thai Massage techniques into table massage treatments.

1)Students must bring:
1 flat sheet per day, 1 head pillow for receiver, 1 kneeling pillow for practitioner, comfortable movement clothes(sweatpants and t shirt, no shorts please).

Friday 8am-5pm(lunch 12pm-1pm)

KLOSE Presents: Manual Lymph Drainage Certification (Kansas City campus)

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a very effective yet gentle manual technique that is easy on the therapist’s body and well tolerated by even highly sensitive clients. MLD reduces swelling and detoxifies the skin and superficial fascia by promoting drainage within the superficial and deep systems of the lymph vascular network. Instructor Erin Maranjian, establishes a supportive class environment in which you’ll learn the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system and effective MLD sequences that can reduce swelling and other symptoms associated with: Post-surgical edema; soft-tissue injuries; rheumatoid arthritis; fibromyalgia; whiplash; migraine headaches; PTSD; anxiety disorders; mild, medically-uncomplicated lymphedema; and more!
Prerequisite: Licensed/Registered Massage Therapists must have completed at least 500 hours of massage training or be certified by the NCBTMB, and to be a fully insured massage or bodywork or other healthcare proviider. Proof of licensure and insturance must be supplied.. Instructional Methods: Hands-on lab and lectures . If you cancel your registration to any class, the $1.99 registration fee and administration fees/credit card processing fees are non-refundable. The administration fees/Credit card fees are a minimum of $25. The cancellation fee will be outlined in the description for each class. Our tuition refund policy regarding canceling your attendance is: You may cancel and receive full tuition refund minus the administrative/credit card processing fees up to 30 days prior to the start date of the class. If you cancel within 14 - 29 days before the class, you will be refunded 1/2 (one half) of the tuition. Tuition will not be refunded if canceled within 14 days of the class.
Effective, December 1, 2023, all registrations must be completed online at www.wellspring.edu. There is an option to register to pay by check/cash. If you chose this option, you will need to make the payment immediately to reserve your spot in the class.
